Let’s Talk About Braids!

Braids are a style that NEVER go out of STYLE!!! They originated in Africa as a traditional way of hair grooming. Braids were traditionally worn by MEN! So don’t laugh at those brothers still wearing those braid styles! Cornrows means that hair is braided close to the scalp in various patterns or lines. Braids can be left in for weeks, BUT they should be washed and moisturized daily.
Tips for choosing a braider:
1) Must be clean and sanitary. All combs, brushes, etc… should be free of hair or dirt.
2) Must use even tension when braiding. Head SHOULD NOT BE SORE either during or after the styling process. This can cause breakage, irritation, or eventually hair loss.
3) Stylist should give maintenance or care information after style is completed.
Remember, braids can be a fun alternate style choice, or an accent to a style so ENJOY YOUR BRAIDS!
