Finding Your Identity

To find your identity means to me, to figure out who you really are and not who others perceive you to be.

This could take you many years, in fact most times it will. Most of what you might have learned growing up will help to shape who you truly are inside.

I took the time one day to look at myself in the mirror, and I stared into my OWN eyes and what I saw was who I REALLY was.  I wasn’t mom, I wasn’t ma’am, I wasn’t shorty, I wasn’t light-skinned, I wasn’t wife, I wasn’t stylist, all I really was, was me.

I decided that I WAS good enough!

I WAS smart enough!

I WAS pretty enough!

I WAS likeable enough!

I WAS PERFECT FOR BEING ME!
