There is always a time to prepare. God gives us time to prepare for what we have to go through if we are tuned in to hearing Him. My hobby is to paint rooms in my home. I know I have painted almost all of my walls at least once! The painting part of the job is the easiest part by far. The thing that takes the most time is the preparation of the walls. First I have to wipe the walls down, next I have to cover the floors so I won’t get any paint on them. Then I have to put tape on all the surfaces that I don’t want to paint, you know, corners, borders, baseboards, etc… Then FINALLY, I mix the paint, pour, and paint!
All of the prep work had to be done to get me ready to do a simple task. It all had to be done so that the finished look was beautiful, and professional. We are always preparing for whatever life throws us next. As soon as we overcome one challenge, here comes another one. These challenges are not meant for us to stumble, even though we do, but instead they were designed for growth. It is our preparation for something Greater! God will always stretch us to prepare us for what He has in store for us to do next.
