So, I have a few plants in my dining room area that I tend to daily. I mainly got these plants to ward off pesky summer insects and to see if I could maintain them. I have an aloe plant, a poinsettia from last Christmas, and a basil plant. I have a few others but they are small. What I noticed about these plants is they have appointed times for changes. The poinsettia plant sheds its leaves and grows red stems which is odd to me because I have never watched the transformation it makes from green to red. It is remarkable! The basil plant has grown very tall, but now it seems to be dying so I guess it has an appointed time for growth and pruning. These plants seem to be flourishing rapidly at one time, but now they seem to be dying.
My aloe plant is doing well as long as it receives little water, and lots of sunshine. Even though it looks good, it too has an appointed time where one of its leaves dies. Each one of them have appointed times, seasons in which they seem to not be doing so well, just like us. We have appointed times in our lives where our season changes and things in our lives die. It may be a relationship which we held onto as long as we possibly could. Or it could be a career change that we know we need to make but the decision would prove to be challenging.
Whatever our appointed time is we must learn to accept the changes and grow from the experience. I heard it said that nothing lasts forever, and this is so true but know that while these appointed times are happening God is still in control. Although it may be rough right now the appointed time will shift you into a designated place just for you. Take each experience, shift, or change as it comes and know that the appointed time will come.
Blessings~
