We Are Still Fighting to be Free

We are still fighting to be free.

The task is still in front of me.

What is the part that I can play?

There seems like there is nothing that can make a difference, nothing more to say.

We keep trying to go forward when we never addressed the pain of the past.

We can no longer forget when our government we can no longer trust.

There should be a difference between yesterday’s pain and today’s hurt but it is all the same.

Pain is still here, hurt still reverberates through generation after generation visiting each one of us not caring about our name.

We are still fighting to be free in spite of how far we have come.

One day, I know for sure, God will Right the wrongs and Freedom will be Won!
