The Thieves

The things that come to steal your peace are what I call thieves.

They creep in so quietly and suddenly they are released.

You find your peace being stolen, you find your mind stressed out.

You wonder what is wrong with you, now you’re filled with doubt.

It’s the thieves that have you all undone, the ones that you can’t see.

It’s the everyday thieves that make you feel like you need some quick relief.

It may come in the form of a job or in a traffic jam, it may even be in an email,

Not One More Piece of SPAM!

However it crept in, it’s time for it to go.

Show the thief your backside as you proceed to close the door.

Goodbye thief, you cannot stay here.

My peace is not for sale and my joy is where I live.

Sadness

A prayer:

Lord you know what sadness feels like, even Jesus wept. Please comfort those that are sad today. Help them to not try and make sense of what has happened, but lean on You for strength.

Keep our hearts before You and heal our brokenness. Wipe every tear and calm every heart. Give us now the Peace that passes all understanding, and help us to move forward showing Your Love to one another.

Let us not be consumed with the little things, but consume us with Love for one another. You are our Peace, O God, and You are our strength. Glory to Your name.

Be Still and Know

To be Still and know takes practice. To not DO Anything but wait, and listen takes discipline. To understand the power that keeps you in the place of humble submission takes total trust. 

I heard His voice tell me to be Still and Know. I can do this and I can do that but His voice brings me to a place of stillness. His voice brings me back to a calm which allows Him to pour into me what I lost. I know the power in Stillness, it takes away doubt and fear. It calms the uncertainties of this life and it allows my spirit to be refreshed.  

I know this place well, for when I get anxious it reminds me to be anxious for nothing, but pray. We don’t realize how powerful we are when we are still. The enemy knows and that is why he does everything he can to be busy. Our lives should be more effective. We should be more aware, discerning, less worried, and less fearful. There is no room for worry, doubt, or fear when we become Still in His presence.

Lord, help me to be Still and Know.

I Have A Voice

I have a voice, though you might not hear it.

I have a voice, that speaks truth to your spirit.

I have a voice, which may not be very loud.

I have a voice, that brings peace and moves the crowd.

I have a voice, that those who listen will hear truth.

I have a voice, which tells how God moves.

i have a voice, that resounds through history.

I have a voice, which leads to victory!

I have a voice, strong and sincere.

I have a voice, that is loud to those who can hear.

I have a voice, and although it may sound soft and reserved, it sounds the voice for those who need to be free.
