Today is a New Day
Today is a new day, yesterday is done.
The past is left behind us including the victories we have won!
There is so much promise when we look forward to the next day.
How can we make our tomorrow bring our vision into play?
Our mind sees what our eyes cannot.
All of our hopes and dreams that we had once forgot.
We have to remain in faith, to bring all of those things to life.
We must not forget those past lessons, everything we have already accomplished in plain sight.
There is a new day that keeps us moving forward.
There is a promise that keeps us looking upward.
Today is a New Day, a day of promise, no regrets!
Our future is here and it is available if we take the first steps!
You Watched Me As I Slept
You watched me as I slept last night, You gave me many dreams.
You made sure I was safe and warm, Your Love then comforted me.
You whispered to me the plans for my life which seemed so far away.
Your words then gave me hope and sight to move me into the right place.
You kept me from all forms of harm and kept my family too.
You gave me peace and purpose then unfolded Your vision for me to pursue.
You watched me as I slept like You have always done.
You bring me into Your presence, my spirit and Yours are one.
You have always given me insight into things that are to come.
Your warnings have never scared me but prepared me to fear no one.
You watched me while I sleep and healed my broken heart.
You mended each part of me and gave me a brand new start.
Thank you for watching me while I slept for showing me things I will never forget.
Thank you for trusting me with answers to problems my heart just doesn’t get.
